Think of one thing you bought that you never use

What is one thing you bought that you never use, never play with, never wear?

There it is, in the drawer, the closet, or out on the counter… yelling to you, “Hey, over here! Remember me?”

Do you remember why you bought it?

What were you thinking or feeling when you made that purchase?

Chances are, you thought buying [that thing] was going to make you feel a certain way, or solve a problem.

Why did that thing not solve that problem for you?

Next time you go to buy something, ask yourself:

  • What problem am I trying to solve?

  • Will this thing really solve it?
